PLAYMOBIL DIORAMA THE MAD ON PLAYMOBIL BASEMENT II

Here you have a second post of dioramas that have not seen the light yet.

Aquí tienes una segunda publicación de dioramas que aún no han visto la luz.

We started with Vercingetorix and his surrender to Julius Caesar after the siege of Alesia. Within the Roman cycle, we planned to pay homage to the campaign in Gaul. Our central character would be Vercingetorix and we try to make a recreation of his surrender to Julius Caesar.

Comenzamos con Vercingetorix y su rendición a Julio César después del asedio de Alesia. Dentro del ciclo romano, planeamos rendir homenaje a la campaña en la Galia. Nuestro personaje central sería Vercingetorix y tratamos de recrear su rendición a Julio César.

There was also a place to recreate our druid preparing a "magic potion"...

También hubo lugar para recrear a nuestro druida preparando una "poción mágica".... 

Another subject that we were looking at with the fabrics and that we have not finished finishing testing is the snowy landscape.

Otro tema que estábamos viendo con las telas y que no hemos terminado de terminar las pruebas son los paisajes nevados.

Playmobil's catalog of animals and plants is huge. It is unrivaled, in my opinion. Not even Schleich, who beats him on animals, but does not reach him on rocks, trees, and other elements of nature. It is a pleasure for us to play with these pieces. So much so that we went back to prehistory to see how this decoration looked…

El catálogo de animales y plantas de Playmobil es inmenso. No tiene rival, en mi opinión. Ni siquiera Schleich, que le gana en animales, pero no le alcanza en rocas, árboles y demás elementos de la naturaleza.  Para nosotros en un placer jugar con estas piezas. Tanto que  nos fuimos a la prehistoria para ver cómo quedaba este decorado….

And at a time we arrived in prehistory, we also tried to set up a small refuge for our hunter-gatherers.

Y una vez en la prehistoria, también probamos a montar un pequeño refugio para nuestros cazadores recolectores.

REVIEW - ANTHROPARK

Aquí os traemos una entrada sobre una página web que hemos descubierto recientemente y que nos parece una absoluta maravilla para aquellos que queráis sacar ideas para vuestras personalizaciones de la prehistoria o simplemente queráis pasar un rato agradable viendo, leyendo y aprendiendo cosas interesantes sobre la historia de la humanidad y quitarnos de la cabeza esa imagen estereotipada del cavernícola desaliñado con la garrota de madera.

El sitio en cuestión es ANTHROPARK  Se trata de una página web ubicada en la República Checa, y que está dedicada principalmente al paleolítico. Su autor es Libor Balák, cuya faceta profesional más destacada es la de ilustrador. Creo que con algunas imágenes que voy a colgar os podéis hacer una idea de lo que se puede encontrar en esta página.

No toda la página está traducida al inglés, pero merece la pena hacer el esfuerzo de pasarse y aunque sea utilizar el traductor automático. No os defraudará.

Además de las páginas dedicadas a diferentes épocas del paleolítico. Tiene desarrolladas pestañas para los más pequeños, estudiantes, universitarios y profesores. Con imágenes adaptadas a cada edad.

Las recreaciones son fantásticas y nos muestran a ese hombre primitivo, más cercano a la imagen del indio americano de las praderas. Un hombre que viste con trajes de piel con numerosos adornos muy elaborados y acompañado con una tecnología muy avanzada en comparación con los medios de los que disponían.

Un sitio que merece la pena tener presente para aprender. Esperamos que os guste.

Here we bring you a new post about a web page that we have recently discovered and which seems an absolute marvel for those who want to get fresh ideas for their prehistory customizations or just want to spend a pleasant time watching, reading and learning interesting things about history and taking off of that stereotyped image of the caveman scruffy with the wooden stick.

The site is ANTHROPARK. It is a web page located in the Czech Republic, and it is dedicated mainly to the Paleolithic. Its author is Libor Balák, whose professional facade more outstanding is illustrator. I think that with some images that I'm going to upload you can get an idea of what can be found on this page.

Not all the web site is translated into English, but it is worth making the effort to go through and even use the automatic translator. It will not disappoint you.

In addition to the pages dedicated to different epochs of the Paleolithic. It has developed places for kids, students, university students and teachers, with lots of images adapted to each age.

The recreations are fantastic and show us that primitive man, closest to the image of the American Plain Indians. A man dressed in fur suits with numerous elaborate ornaments and accompanied by a very advanced technology compared to the means they had.

PLAYMOBIL PREHISTORIC / PREHISTORIA II

No queríamos dejar de colgar algunas fotos más de nuestros dioramas Playmobil sobre la edad de piedra. Aunque en realidad algunas de las fotos podrían pertenecer a un bosque intemporal. Con el paso del tiempo y aunque aún nos queda mucho que aprender, cada vez nos gusta más trabajar los encuandres de nuestras aventuras.

Una vista de nuestra montaña.

El bosque siempre ofrece un decorado perfecto.

Un buen fondo crea una perspectiva más realista de la escena.

Una vista panorámica de nuestra manada de caballos salvajes.

Reunión veraniega de clanes. 

También hay que cuidar los detalles en los primeros planos.

Creando un secadero para carne o pescado.

Escenas paleolíticas.

A falta de un león de las cavernas, bien está el tigre de dientes de sable.

La llegada de un clan siempre es un hecho relevante.

We want to hang some more photos of our dioramas Playmobil about the stone age. Although the most of all photos may belong to a timeless forest. Passing the time, and despite of we have still much to learn, whenever we like working the scenery of our adventures.

PLAYMOBIL PREHISTORIC / PREHISTORIA

Como siempre el estereotipo no hace justicia a la realidad. De la prehistoria nos ha quedado esa imagen "cavernícola" y "Picapiedra" que parece que no es la más ajustada a la realidad. El hombre prehistórico era un poco más sofisticado de lo que nos han pintado. De hecho las poblaciones europeas prehistóricas eran una mezcla entre los indios de Norteamérica, que se encontraron los descubridores miles de años después, y los esquimales: trabajaban la madera y el hueso, fabricaban herramientas poderosas con las que cortar y cazar, construían tiendas para sus campamentos, adornaban sus ropas y celebraban ritos religiosos.

Algo parecido a esto:

Con los Playmobil hemos intentado hacer un clan un poco más civilizado y este es el resultado. Tanto para Neandertal como para Cromañón.

También tenemos un cazador de renos camuflado.

As always the stereotype does not do justice to reality. The Prehistory had given to us this "caveman" or "Flintstones" image, which is apparently not the most close to reality. The prehistoric man was a little more sophisticated than we have thunk. In fact the prehistoric European people were a mixture between the North American Indians, that the european explorers found thousands of years later, and the Eskimos: they worked woods and bones, they manufactured powerful tools to cut and hunt, they built tents for their camps, they adorned their clothes and they celebrated religious rites.

With these Playmobil figures we have tried to do a little more civilized clan and this is the result. To Neanderthal and to Cro-Magnon also.

We also have a reindeer hunter camouflaged.

DÍA DE PESCA EN LA PREHISTORIA

Otra serie de Playmobil que nos tiene totalmente enamorados es la de la prehistoria. Hoy os presentamos un grupo de neandertales en un día de pesca en la Europa de hace 20.000 años. Bien podían ser aquellos de los que se han encontrado restos en la zona de Gibraltar, al sur de la Península Ibérica.

Recolectan conchas para sus abalorios y secan el pescado al sol para poder asegurarse provisiones para una temporada.

Las figuras son casi todas originales, lo único novedoso es ese secadero de pescado utilizando esas gomas que tanto se han puesto de moda últimamente y se pueden conseguir a granel en las tiendas de baratillo.

Fishing Day in the Prehistory

Another amazing series of Playmobil that we love is prehistory. Today we introduce to you a group of Neanderthals in a day of fishing in Europe 20,000 years ago. They could well be those which have been found near the Gibraltar area, in the south of the Iberian Peninsula.

They collect shells for their ornaments and they dry fishes in the sun to make provision for a season.

Almost all the figures are original, the only thing new is the drying fish. We used these gums that have become fashionable lately and are available in bulk boxes in dime stores.

CAZADORES DE MAMUTS

Este año hemos jugado mucho con las nuevas referencias de hombres de la prehistoria Playmobil. Nuestros dos clanes de cazadores (neardentales y cromañones) han tenido muchas aventuras y teníamos la obligación de incluir un diorama antes de que la temporada al aire libre se acabe, que será pronto. Bien podrían haber sido parte de nuestra entrada comentando la serie, pero nunca es tarde si la dicha es buena.

Hoy los campamentos de caza de verano se encuentran a ambos lados de la ruta que los grandes herbívoros de la edad del hielo utilizan para llegar al agua  y los pastos. Los animales que ha hecho Playmobil nos encantan, pero no perdemos la esperanza de que alguno más se incorpore en el futuro.

Sabemos que los tigres dientes de sable y los neardentales nunca coexistieron, pero cualquiera les quita la ilusión a los más pequeños.

Pronto será invierno y es necesario disponer de una abundante cantidad de carne y pieles para poder sobrevivir en las cuevas. Los dos clanes deberán unirse para cazar un Mamut.

MAMMOTH HUNTERS

We played a lot with the new Playmobil cavemen this year. Our two clans  (Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons) have had many adventures and we had the obligation to include a diorama before the outdoor season is over, and it will be soon. This could well have been a part of our entry about the cavemen series, but Better Late than Never.

Today the summer hunting camps are located on either side of the ice age large herbivores route get used to arrive to water and pastures. We love Playmobil animals, but we remain hopeful that one more ice age animals will be incorporated into the future.

We know that the saber-toothed tigers and Neanderthals never coexisted, but it is very hard to take away that illusion to the children.

Soon it will be winter and they must have an abundance of meat and skins to survive in the caves. Both clans must unite to hunt a mammoth.
