PLAYMOBIL CUSTOM XVII CENTURY NEW MODEL ARMY THE RETREAT

They are already 10 years of publications. More than 400 posts, more than 400,000 visits…. I do not know the figures that we have created. It has been a pleasant journey, doing something we love, full of interesting stopovers, and excellent traveling companions.

Son ya 10 años de publicaciones. Más de 400 entradas, 400.000 visitas…. No sé cuántas figuras hemos podido presentar. Ha sido un viaje placentero, haciendo algo que amamos, lleno de escalas interesantes y con excelentes compañeros de viaje.

2020 has been a different year in everything. It was not even planned that we would be able to maintain the blog (like so many other times, we had already thought about leaving it ...), and another year we have returned to our learning process, with new pieces and adventures.

2020 ha sido un año diferente en todo. Ni siquiera estaba previsto que fuéramos capaces de mantener el blog (como tantas otras veces, habíamos pensado ya en dejarlo…) y otro año más hemos vuelto a nuestro proceso de aprendizaje, con piezas y aventuras nuevas.  

Looking back, there are many figures, scenes, and adventures that we have enjoyed, both in the planning process and during its execution.

Mirando hacia atrás, quedan muchas figuras, escenas y aventuras que hemos disfrutado, tanto en el proceso de planificación como durante su ejecución.

Now is the time to return to the winter barracks, like our troops from the 17th century, who make their path through the roads. We do not know if there will be new campaigns, nor where they will take place.

Ahora toca volver a los cuarteles de invierno, como nuestras tropas del siglo XVII, que se abren paso por entre los caminos. No sabemos si habrá nuevas campañas, ni los lugares dónde se desarrollarán.

We can only thank again all the people who have stopped by to cheer, contribute, browse ... and what gave life to the blog.

In some comments from previous posts, we have been asked how we have made the pieces. We don't have the detail of all the steps, but I think some photos can help to identify the pieces and how we got to them. The photos are not good, because they were not intended to make a post, but they are better than nothing. We are going to focus first on the cannon and later on the pistols and other pieces.

En algún comentario de entradas anteriores, nos han planteado el cómo hemos hecho las piezas. No tenemos el detalle de todos los pasos, pero creo que algunas fotos podrán ayudar a identificar las piezas y cómo hemos llegado a ellas. Las fotos no son buenas, porque no estaban pensadas para hacer una entrada, pero son mejor que nada. Vamos a centrarnos en primer lugar en el cañón y posteriormente en las pistolas.

The first thing always is to look for inspiration with images and documentation.

Lo primero siempre, es buscar la inspiración con imágenes y documentación.

Subsequently, we must find the materials that we will use, normally scrapping of parts that we do not want.

Posteriormente, hay que buscar los materiales que utilizaremos, generalmente desguace de piezas que no queremos.

And finally, putty, sandpaper, putty, sandpaper, putty, sandpaper….

Y por último, masilla, lija, masilla, lija, masilla, lija….

The same with helmets, pistols, harquebuses ...

Lo mismo con los cascos, pistolas, arcabuces…

And now it is the turn of our 17th Century red army. As in the previous post, we opted to expand our troops by adding figures in tan tones. The structure is similar to the blue army: 16 pikemen, 10 harquebusiers, officers, drum and flags, 15 cavalrymen, and gunners.

Y ahora les toca el turno a nuestro ejército rojo del siglo XVII. Como en la entrada anterior, nos decantamos por ampliar nuestras tropas añadiendo figuras en tonos tostados. La estructura es similar al ejercito azul: 16 piqueros, 10 arcabuceros, oficiales, tambor y banderas, 15 soldados de caballería y los artilleros.

Let's start with the troop parade.

Empecemos con la revista de tropas.

The main news regarding our previous entry are in the infantry, which is now more numerous.

Las principales novedades respecto a nuestra entrada anterior están en la infantería, que ahora es más numerosa.

We have enabled them to assemble with our resin muskets and harquebusiers, which gives them a more accurated touch.

Les hemos podido armar con nuestros arcabuces y mosquetes de resina, que les da un toque más realista.

We have focused our cavalry on improving what we already had. On the one hand, our heavy cavalry, and on the other, our version of the Ironsides, which have changed the previous mustard tones for light brown. We still have to receive dark brown cuffs so that we can wear all the gloves.

Hemos centrado nuestra caballería en mejorar lo que ya teníamos. Por un lado nuestra caballería pesada, y por otro, nuestra versión de los Ironsides, que han cambiado los tonos mostaza anteriores por el marrón claro. Nos queda recibir unos puños marrones oscuros para que puedan llevar todos guantes.
