PLAYMOBIL DIORAMA THE MAD ON PLAYMOBIL BASEMENT I

We stop along the way to collect a series of photos and dioramas that have not seen the light for one reason or another. In most cases because we thought there was not enough material for a post. Which is nonsense and a contradiction, because we have made many post in the past with a single photo….

Hacemos  un alto en el camino para recopilar una serie de fotos y dioramas que no han visto la luz por una causa o por otra. En la mayoría de los casos porque pensábamos que no había suficiente material para una entrada. Lo que es una tontería y una contradicción, pues hemos hecho muchas entradas en el pasado con una sola foto….

But let's leave those reasonings aside and let´s start our trip to Mad on Playmobil "basement" to look for unpublished recreations on the blog.

Pero dejemos esos razonamientos de lado y empecemos nuestro viaje al “trastero” de Mad on Playmobil” para buscar recreaciones inéditas en el blog.

Our first rescue corresponds to a diorama that unites two generations of Playmobil fans. The 80s series of Eskimos and the last polar series. Here you have the old elements mixed with the new figures. A very fun exercise, a bit irreverent, but it was a lot of fun. On this occasion, I think we thought we could improve the diorama and that is why the material was not published. The photos are more or less a year old.

Nuestro primer rescate corresponde a un diorama que une dos generaciones de aficionados a Playmobil. La serie de los 80 de los esquimales y la última serie polar.  Aquí tenéis los viejos elementos mezclados con las nuevas figuras. Un ejercicio muy divertido, un poco irreverente, pero que nos divirtió mucho. En esta ocasión, creo que pensamos que podríamos mejorar el diorama y por eso no se publicó el material. Las fotos tienen más o menos un año.

WE´RE OPEN!

Regresamos después de casi 8 meses de inactividad en el blog. Es más una despedida que un regreso, en realidad. Queremos que sea nuestro “canto del cisne” particular. La vuelta hay que agradecérsela  a mi hijo pequeño. Gracias a su interés y a sus ideas (imposibles a primera vista), hacemos que todas estas “locuras” sigan ocurriendo, convirtiendo el esfuerzo de hacerlo juntos en un regalo para ambos. Sin eso, ni me lo habría planteado.

Vamos a estructurar las entradas en cuatro categorías: “Playmobil custom figures”, “Playmobil diorama”, “Playmobil art gallery” y una sección miscelánea “We love it! (¡Nos encanta!)” que englobará todo aquello que no quepa en las otras tres categorías anteriores. Con ese formato, presentado como galería de fotos, no tendremos que hacer mucho esfuerzo de mantenimiento y creo que habrá cierta continuidad en la actividad del blog durante lo queda de año.  

No estamos en condiciones de hacer entradas como las que hacíamos antes. No tenemos el tiempo para escribir, traducir, montar…. Y esa es la parte que no nos acaba de convencer de nuestra vuelta. Hemos pensado en algo muy ligero, más imágenes que texto, con algunos enlaces para aquellos que quieran profundizar en los temas o las ideas que hemos estado trabajando.

No queremos crear falsas expectativas y os pedimos perdón por adelantado si no logramos alcanzarlas. Sí queremos agradecer a todos nuestros seguidores y lectores el apoyo, la inspiración y el cariño que nos han dado durante todos estos años. Ya hemos cubierto todos nuestros objetivos, con el blog sin actividad siguen entrando más de 4.000 visitas mensuales. Ya hemos superado las 250.000 visitas desde nuestro nacimiento. Pero nos gustaría pedir un favor a aquellos que pasen a vernos a partir de ahora, y lean esto: no habrá casi texto en las entradas y sería bueno para el resto de lectores comentar, preguntar, criticar y aportar. Otros pueden leer vuestras impresiones y se beneficiarán de ello. Haced, si os es posible, que el esfuerzo merezca la pena. Cualquier comentario será bienvenido y mejorará las entradas con seguridad.  

Aquí empezamos un nuevo camino… veremos a dónde lleva. Gracias

We come back after many months of inactivity in the blog. It's more a farewell than a return. We want it to be our particular "swan song". You have to thank my little son. Thanks to his interest and his ideas (impossible at first sight), all these "crazy things" happen, and make the effort to do it together as a gift for two of us. Without that, I would not have reconsidered it.

We are going to structure the post in four categories: "Playmobil custom figures", "Playmobil diorama", "Playmobil art gallery" and a miscellaneous section "We love it!" That will compile everything that does not fit in the other three previous categories. With this format, presented as a photo gallery, we will not have to make much maintenance effort and I think there will be some continuity in the activity of the blog during the remainder of the year.

We are not in a position to make the posts we liked to do before. We do not have the time to write, translate, assemble ... And that is the part that does not convince us of our return. We have thought of something very light, more images than text, with some links for those who want to delve into the themes or ideas that we have been working on.

We do not want to create false expectations and we apologize in advance if we can not reach them. Yes, we want to thank all our followers, readers and fans of other blogs for the support, inspiration and love they have given us during all these years. We have already covered all of our objectives, with the blog without activity, more than 4,000 monthly visits continue to enter. We have exceeded 250,000 visits since our birth. But we would like to ask a favor to those who happen to see us from now on, and read this: there will be almost no text in the entries and it would be good for the rest of the readers to comment, ask, criticize and contribute. Another challenge accomplished!, and in much less time than we thought. We have been greatly helped by our new readers from the US, Mexico and Russia, who are increasingly generating more visits to our posts. Thank you very much! PLAYMOBIL PRINTABLE 3D COMPATIBLE PARTS

Necesitamos tu ayuda. Nos hemos embarcado en un nuevo proyecto y queremos saber si podríais estar interesados en embarcaros también vosotros.

 ¿De qué se trata? Ya llevamos un tiempo pensando en hacer algunas piezas por nuestra cuenta y creemos que el primer paso es la impresión 3D. Nosotros no tenemos experiencia ni medios para llevar a buen término este proyecto por nosotros mismos, así que hemos buscado ayuda.

 Hemos encontrado, aquí en Madrid, alguien que maneja la impresión y que ya tiene bastante experiencia haciendo piezas para Drones, Slot, Modelismo y Radiocontrol.

Ya estamos trabajando en un mascarón personalizado para nuestros barcos vikingos. ¿Qué te parecería poner algo como esto en tus barcos?

 

 

Pero se trata de una prueba. Para hacer una pieza hay que dedicar horas al diseño y es necesario que al final exista demanda suficiente para ellas.

Por eso vamos a ir poniendo varias encuestas para hacernos una idea de la demanda que podría haber.

Nosotros somos un comprador más, solamente ayudamos en el diseño, no buscamos ganar nada más que hacer esas piezas que mejoran nuestras aventuras. ¿Te interesa?

También necesitamos que nos deis vuestras ideas para saber si hay alguna pieza que pueda tener salida. No importa que no sea de nuestra temática.

PLAYMOBIL CUSTOM - ABORIGEN AUSTRALIANO

Mi hijo pequeño estaba detrás del guerrero nubio de la serie 10  porque quería hacer algún diorama sobre la Semana Santa, del que intentaremos hacer alguna entrada en el futuro. Nos ha costado encontrarlo, porque con los sobres (Playmobil figures) se produce un fenómeno especulativo digno de ser estudiado en las cátedras de economía de las mejores universidades del mundo. Pero no nos apartemos del tema. Una vez encontrado y analizado, tenemos que quejarnos un poco: no entendemos por qué la cabeza no es igual al resto y ya no puede usarse en otros cuerpos. Una pena.

  

Como no sabíamos muy bien qué hacer con la figura, hemos creado una nueva inspirada en los primeros pobladores de Australia. Aunque no es nuestro tema, aquí está en medio del desierto a la búsqueda de un canguro. Esperamos que os guste.

AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL

My youngest son was looking for the Nubian warrior of the number 10 series because he wanted to make a diorama about Easter, which we will try to make a post in the future. Hace ya tiempo nos hicimos de casualidad con un escudo de PLAY-BIG, que encajaba perfectamente con nuestros Playmobil (ver Uthred y otras recomendaciones) y nos sorprendió lo bien que estaba diseñado. Todo esto nos animó a profundizar un poco en la marca. Tras un corto periodo de tiempo nos pudimos hacer con un lote barato y así comprobar si había más cosas en común.

Some time ago we had found a PLAY BIG shield in a Flea Market, 100% compatible with our Playmobil warriors (you can see it in your post “Uhtred and some recommendations”. We had surprised with the design and we started to find some more information about the brand. Later we can bought a cheap job lot in the net and test some common things between both manufacturers.

Lo primero que hay que decir es que llegamos muy tarde. Tras investigar, podemos constatar que sus piezas han sido utilizadas por los coleccionistas de Playmobil de manera sistemática y que algunas han sido personalizadas, clonadas e incluso comercializadas en Ebay.

The first thing to tell is that we have arrived too late. When we have investigated, we can affirm that too many Playmobil collectors have used their pieces to customized. Even some pieces were used to clone and to resale in Ebay.

En segundo lugar, para aquellos que lo desconozcan, se trata de una marca alemana que comenzó a producir de manera paralela a Playmobil en los años 70 y que, tras un litigio entre ellas, tuvo que abandonar la producción de forma y manera que desapareció a finales de la década. Ya sabéis nuestra debilidad por los vikingos, así que vamos a hacer un pequeño repaso a estas referencias y algunas de las coincidencias, aciertos, errores y oportunidades que vemos que pueden tener relación con Playmobil.

Las armaduras, aunque se trata de un sistema similar al original de Playmobil, disponen de parte delantera y trasera. ¡Y qué diseños!: faldas de piel, cotas de malla, armaduras… MARAVILLOSAS. ¡Qué no daríamos por un torso como ese en un Playmobil! ¿Os lo imagináis? ¡Qué caballeros!

The chainmail, althought it is a similar system. They have a front and back parts. What a good design! Fur coat, chainmails… MARVELOUS! I really want a Playmobil one! Can you imagine it? The definitve knights!

PLAY BIG también lo intentó con piezas de la vida civil. El arado es posiblemente la herramienta por excelencia de la edad antigua y media. ¡Qué falta nos hace! La pena es que me temo que no es nada atractivo para el mercado infantil actual.

PLAYMOBIL SPRING TIME - TIEMPO DE PRIMAVERA PLAYMOBIL

El invierno ha terminado y en los bosques la naturaleza renace con fuerza por la llegada del sol y la abundancia del agua, tiñiendo de verde las faldas de las montañas. Los animales lentamente se incorporan a la actividad y comienza una etapa de plenitud en la que desarrollarse. Nosotros no podíamos ser menos y hemos empezado nuestra temporada de dioramas en el exterior, a pesar de algún catarro inesperado.

Hoy nos centramos en una zona rocosa cerca de un manantial en la que la exuberancia de la primavera está ya presente. Lo hemos realizado con rocas de varios sistemas: tiene un fondo con las rocas del 3269 (castillo de los dragones rojos), además añadimos las rocas de la nueva isla pirata 6679, y por último hemos colocado una parte del 3841 (palacio de los dragones verdes). Los tres sistemas (Steck, System X y Rockies) juntos pero no revueltos. Le habíamos pedido a los Reyes la isla pirata y tenemos que decir, que no nos defraudó en absoluto. Nos parece una gran referencia, sobre todo porqué puede convertirse en multiusos con algunos simples cambios. Desde la edad de piedra al oeste. Nos gusta particularmente la cascada y la posibilidad de convertirla en cueva. Además hemos añadido unos árboles de la nueva referencia 6815 que estábamos deseando probar.

Nos encanta la referencia y los hemos adoptado. Pronto tendremos que hacer alguna cacería, no podemos dejar que proliferen sin control.

But let us continue with our diorama. Throughout the day they spend many animals looking for freshness, as this group of fallow deer (6815). Life is good and this group has fallen into our hands gifted. We love the reference and we have adopted. Soon we will have to do some hunting, we can not fail to proliferate uncontrollably.

También pasan por allí unos ciervos. Aún nos falta conseguir el nuevo ciervo tumbado, pero con paciencia estoy seguro que lo encontraremos a buen precio.

Otras especies de animales como rebecos, cabras, muflones o jabalíes coexisten de manera pacífica entre la vegetación. Aunque el muflón no ha sido fabricado por Playmobil, ahora que vuelven a abundar las cabras nos hemos atrevido a modificar alguna cornamenta para adaptarlos, aunque nos gustaría verlos fabricados por Playmobil.

Other species of animals such as chamois, goats, mouflon and wild boar coexist peacefully among the vegetation. Although the mouflon not manufactured by Playmobil, now returning to abound goats we have dared to modify some antler to adapt, but we would like to see them made by Playmobil.

No hay bosque que no tema la llegada del lobo. Está manada está buscando una cueva donde poder tener su camada oculta mientras salen a cazar. ¿Para cuándo unos lobeznos de Playmobil?

Aunque no hemos dicho donde se encuentra nuestro bosque, bien podría estar en cualquier parte de la Europa y América Septentrional. Nuestra sorpresa ha sido mayúscula cuando nos hemos encontrado con este guerrero Neyhute en medio del bosque. Creemos que se ha despistado de algún diorama de nuestro colega Neperiano. Tendremos que marcarle el camino de regreso a casa.

Although we have not said where is our forest, it could well be anywhere in North America and Europe. Our surprise was great when we have encountered there with this Neyhute warrior in the woods. We think he has confused with some diorama of our colleague Neperiano. We'll have to mark the way back home.
