PLAYMOBIL HIGHLAND CLAN

Hemos mantenido a lo largo de este tiempo la idea de que las piezas van apareciendo y que son las personalizaciones las que se tienen que adaptar a la oferta y no el bolsillo a nuestros deseos. La competencia debe ser contra nosotros mismos. Cuantas figuras se están pagando al doble o al triple, simplemente por el deseo de acaparar.

Un caso claro es el escoces de la serie de Playmobil figures. Desde luego, muy de agradecer el esfuerzo de Playmobil por incorporar novedades. Ya queríamos hacer algunas figuras a partir de ella, pero no pagando a 7 € la pieza. Habíamos visto en la red algunas personalizaciones, pero queríamos hacer algo un poco diferente, con un toque más antiguo, algo entre céltico y medieval. Unos guerreros que puedan enfrentarse tanto con unos legionarios romanos como con un señor feudal normando. Con ayuda del DS y aprovechando un cumpleaños para abaratar costes al máximo hemos obtenido el siguiente resultado.

Aprovechamos la entrada para pedirle a Playmobil que nos regale un diseño más incluyendo en su catálogo las míticas “Highland cows”.

We have maintained throughout this time the idea that the pieces will be appearing. Customizations must to adapt to the offer and not to our desires. Competition should be against ourselves. Some figures are payed double or triple, simply by the desire to hoard.

A clear example is the Scottish Playmobil figure. Since it arrives, we try to create some of  these new Playmobil figures. We wanted to do some figures from it, but not paying a 7 € for one piece. We had seen on the net some customizations, but wanted to do something a little different, with a more ancient way, somewhere between Celtic and medieval. Warriors who can face both a Roman legionary as a Norman warlord. Using the DS and an birthday order to cut costs to the maximum, we have obtained the following results.

We take the post to ask to Playmobil to grant us a design more in its upcoming catalog including the legendary "Highland cows".

FLEA MARKET OF JUNE - MERCADILLO DE JUNIO

Estuvimos en los dos mercadillos que se celebraron el pasado sábado en Madrid. Como siempre nos acercamos temprano. Al que madruga Dios le ayuda. Había cosas. Nosotros seguimos en la misma tónica de ajustar nuestro precio medio por figura por debajo de 1,5 €. Esta vez lo conseguimos, aunque cada vez es más difícil encontrar figuras a 1 euro. Sigue habiendo muchas figuras que no han tenido la demanda esperada y se mantienen en los cajones mes tras mes. Lo pasamos bien pero aún mejor fue la tarde desmontando y montando figuras.

We have been in the two flea markets which were held last Saturday in Madrid. As always we approached early. Early bird gets the worn. There were many things. We continue in the same vein to adjust our average price per figure below 1.5 €. This time we got it, although it is increasingly difficult to find figures at 1 euro. There are still many  figures who have not had the expected demand and they kept in the drawers month after month. Nice time but even better was the afternoon dismantling and assembling figures.

PLAYMOBIL SUPER 4

Se están viendo ya en algunos sitios lo que parece que serán las nuevas figuras de Playmobil Super4. Tengo aquí dos muestras que pueden servirnos para hacernos una idea. 

En primer lugar un caballero, al que le han añadido un nuevo pelo y cara pintada. A mí me resulta atractivo, creo que tiene mucho potencial. En este caso, se respeta el espíritu de Playmobil. El pelo es ideal para la temática medieval. Yo ya estoy deseando que llegue a convertirse en un nuevo personaje.

En la otra foto, se puede admirar una comparación completa: dos mundos opuestos. Los torsos son fenomenales para la personalización. Sin embargo, aunque las comparaciones son odiosas, no es como un Playmobil. No olvidemos que esto no es una cosa importante para un niño de cinco años, que también debería haber visto la serie animada, y que estará encantado con estos personajes.

Ese es el futuro y ese es el canal: los clientes serán leales a través de películas, series y videojuegos y los nuevos productos serán diseñados en función del éxito en los medios.

En relación con la cabeza, tengo mis dudas, pero supongo que me acostumbraré. No se puede decir que no es una novedad. Es un cambio de imagen radical, esa ha sido la historia de Playmobil durante estos 40 años. La única parte que realmente marca la diferencia es la que no se puede ver: el sistema que une la cabeza, las piernas, el torso y los brazos, lo que permite el movimiento de la figura.

There are already seeing in some places the new Playmobil figures. I have here two samples that can serve to get an idea. First a knight, whom you have added a new hair and painted face. I find it attractive, I think it has great potential. In this case, the Playmobil spirit is respected. The hair is ideal for the medieval theme. I'm already looking forward to become a new character.

In the other picture we can admire a full comparison: two opposing worlds. The torsos are great for customizing. However, although comparisons are odious, it is not like a Playmobil. Let us not forget that this is not an important thing for a child of five years, which also should have seen the animated series, he will be happy with these characters.

That is the future and that is the channel: customers will be loyal through movies, series and video games and the new products will be designed depending on the success in the media.

Relative to the head, I have my doubts, but it will be used. You can not say that it is not a novelty. It is a radical makeover, but that has been the story of Playmobil during these 40 years.

The only part that really makes the difference is the one you can not seen: the system that unites head, legs, torso and arms, allowing movement of the figure.
