Con tanto material no hemos podido resistirnos y hemos empezado a producir en serie:

• ¡Roma vincit!

• Los caballeros verdes buscan castillo donde vivir.

• ¡Valhalla! Creo que ya no caben más vikingos en su caja.

• Espartaco y un compañero preparados para salir a la arena.

• Un trozo de abordaje, recogiendo mercancías para su nave.

• Un montaraz.

 

Nuestro centinela cruzado, un tributo al 4502.

• Un compañero para Robin Hood.

• Un hombre de armas que busca señor al que servir.

• El príncipe enfadado.

• Otro vikingo. Me gustan a pie o a caballo.

• Un capitán del clan de los hombres lobos.

MONTHLY CUSTOMS (DECEMBER I)

So many goods, so little time. We could not resist that and we started our mass production:

 • Roma vincit!

 • Green Knights war lord and warrior looking for a place to live.

 • Valhalla! I think  there are no place in the box for anymore Vikings.

 • Spartacus and a partner ready to go to the arena.

 • A landing party, collecting goods for their ship.

 • A Ranger

 • Our crusader sentinel, a tribute to 4502.

 • A Robin Hood fellow.

 • A man at arms looking for a war lord to serve.

 • The angry prince

 • More Vikings. I like them walking or riding

 • A wolf clan captain.

 There will still be more...

MERCADILLO DE DICIEMBRE

Supongo que juntando todas las piezas que había en el mercadillo se podrían estar años enteros montando cosas. Cada vez hay más personas y ya desde primera hora prácticamente no quedan huecos en los puestos. Será el mes de diciembre que invita al consumo. Hay para todos los gustos: segunda y primera mano. Los precios, la verdad, en algunos casos abusivos. Demasiado vendedor invocando a que se trata de –“…una pieza antigua…” o –“…del castillo original…” o incluso hay que oír –“…es de 1974…”. Ante eso, lo mejor es volver a dejar las piezas en su sitio y no comprar. La verdad es que el DS se está convirtiendo en la opción más barata y segura, aunque no tan divertida.

Aprovechando el día decidimos abrir un par de las bolsas de material que mi hermano nos había regalado. Como resultado: una montaña de diversión.

DECEMBER FLEA MARKET

I guess that all the pieces that were in the market could be setting up things for years. More and more people arrived this time and from the early hours there were virtually no holes in the shops. I think that December is the cause. There were something for everyone: second hand and new ones. The prices, indeed, were abusive in some cases. There were too many dealers telling that it was - "... an antique ..." or - "... the original castle ..." or even have to hear - "... is from 1974 ...." At that, the best thing is to let the pieces back in place and not to buy. The truth is that the DS is becoming the cheapest and safest option, although not as fun.

Also we decided to open a couple of bags of material that my brother had given us. The result: a mountain of fun.

PEQUEÑOS DIORAMAS (IV)

Un pequeño paseo por Yellowstone. Primero dos bisontes en busca de un poco de agua fresca de los manantiales. Después, una partida de cazadores hace un pequeño campamento para pasar la noche.  

LITTLE DIORAMAS (IV)

A short walk around Yellowstone Park. First  two bison are searching for some fresh water. Then a hunting party makes a small night camp.

PERSONALIZACIONES MENSUALES (NOVIEMBRE II)

Ya hemos hablado de los nuevos caballos en entradas anteriores. El viernes hicimos una visita rápida en busca de calendarios de adviento a una de las pocas tiendas de Madrid especializada en Playmobil “Hola Caracola”. Compramos de capricho tres figuras y un caballo (sin ningún accesorio): un gladiador, dos caballeros y un caballo por siete euros.

Al caballo le hemos quitado la pintura blanca. Estamos dudando si incorporarlo como caballo de guerra para nuestro señor del clan de los hombres lobos o como acompañante del capitán de los tercios que hemos hecho con el caballero. Quedan estupendamente ambos, creo que lo mejor será comprar otro caballo.

Por último una rareza… ¿quién es este chico?

MONTHLY CUSTIOMS  (NOVEMBER II)

We talked about the new horses in previous posts. Last Friday, we made a quick visit searching for the Advent calendars to one of the few Playmobil shops in Madrid "Hola Caracola" We bought three figures and a horse (without accessories): a gladiator, two knights and a horse. All for seven euros. We have removed the horse white paint. We are hesitant to incorporate it as one horse for our wolf clan war lord or as a companion of a “Tercios” captain that we have done with the knight. Both are wonderful, I think it´s better to buy one more horse. Finally a rarity... who is this guy?

PERSONALIZACIONES MENSUALES (NOVIEMBRE I)

Una escena que podría presentarse en los alrededores de cualquier castillo medieval:

Primero, un señor feudal dando de beber a su caballo después de un paseo por sus dominios. Creo que por color y aspecto tendrá que buscar cobijo en el castillo del dragón rojo (3268) o en las ruinas de los hombres lobo (3274).

En segundo lugar, un leñador, recogiendo leña seca para calentar su cabaña. 

Después, y para su sobresalto, un par de alguaciles que llevan a su castillo (seguramente la referencia playmobil 3667), un malhechor que rondaba por el bosque.

Por último, un tributo a los caballeros del cisne.

MONTHLY CUSTOMIZATION

A scene that could occur near of any medieval castle:

First, a feudal lord to give his horse a drink after a walk by their domains. I think that he will look to seek shelter in the red dragon castle (playmobil 3268) or the wolf clan ruins (3274).

Second, a logger, collecting dry wood to heat your cabin.

Then, a couple of officers who carried their castle (probably a playmobil reference 3667), a criminal that roamed the woods.

Finally, a tribute to the swan knights.

PEQUEÑOS DIORAMAS (III)

Una patrulla romana está a punto de internarse en un oscuro bosque de Germania. Espero que no tengan problemas con los bárbaros que los habitan…

Los romanos de playmobil están muy conseguidos, los accesorios son bastantes buenos, pero les falta un poco de realismo. Tal vez algún pelo diferente, una barba o algunos accesorios extras les darían un aspecto mas variado y real. Estamos deseando desmontar algunos de los que nos han regalado para experimentar nuevos modelos. Mientras tanto, nuestra legión en perfecto estado de revista.

 

LITTLE DIORAMAS (III)

Roman patrol is about to penetrate into a dark forest of Germania. We hope they don´t have problems with the barbarians ...

Playmobil Romans are well made, the accessories are good enough, but they lack a bit of realism. Maybe some different hair, a beard or some extra accessories would give them a more varied and real look. We look forward to debunk some  to experiment with new models. Meanwhile, our Legion in perfect condition.

MERCADILLO DE NOVIEMBRE

En el mercadillo de este mes había muchísimas cosas. Hemos visto las nuevas cajas de cavernícolas, con sus animales. El mamut está muy conseguido y los tigres de dientes de sable son de lo mejor. También hemos visto las figuras: ¡que buena pinta tienen! De segunda mano había bastante material, pero hemos decidido no comprar por esta vez. Mi hermano nos ha regalado mucho del material de mi sobrino, que ya no quería jugar con ello. El lote no tiene desperdicio y dará para muchas entradas. Además hemos optado por pujar por un lote medieval grande en Ebay que sale mucho más rentable que las compras de mercadillo, aún con los gastos de envío. Así que en noviembre tendremos que hacer un esfuerzo extra. Aquí dejamos una foto de lo que cogimos para entretenernos mientras.

NOVEMBER FLEA MARKET

This month there were so many things in the flea market. We have seen the new boxes of cavemen with their animals. The mammoth is very accomplished and saber-toothed tigers are the best. We have also seen the figures: they are looking good! Second-hand shops had enough material, but we decided not to buy this time. My brother has given us much of the material of my nephew, who no longer wanted to play with it. The lot is big and it will give us things for many entries. Also we have chosen to bid on a large medieval lot on Ebay. We think that it leave us much more profitable than flea market purchases, even with shipping costs. So in November, we will have to make an extra effort with the posts. Meanwhile here we left one picture of what we took.

PEQUEÑOS DIORAMAS (II)

El curso ha comenzado y hay pocas ocasiones para hacer grandes aventuras. Aquí os traemos unos mini dioramas de viernes por la tarde y sábado por la mañana. El primero un pequeño grupo de vikingos organizando sus provisiones durante una de sus incursiones. El segundo una alegoría a la primavera que aún tardará mucho en llegar a visitarnos.

LITTLE DIORAMAS (II)

School has begun and there are few opportunities for high adventure. Here we bring you some Friday afternoon and Saturday morning mini dioramas. The first one shows a small group of Vikings organizing their supplies during one of their raids. The second one is an allegory of spring still be far in coming to visit.

MONTHLY CUSTOMS (OCTOBER I)

Here is a small sample. We have enjoyed and there are still some other surprises for this month. What a wonderful Mohicans. A merchant marine captain. A midshipman. A barbarian captain ready for combat. A buffalo hunter.

ARTILLERIA DEL SIGLO XVIII

Teníamos todas las piezas y al sacar los piratas los montamos para ver como quedaban. Intercambiamos las cureñas para ver el efecto. En el cañón grande hace mucha presión. Otro día probaremos con un modelo más viejo. Preparados…. ¡FUEGO!

XVIII CENTURY ARTILLERY

We had all the pieces. When we take our pirates to play we try to see how they look. We exchanged the carriages to see the effect. There is a lot of pressure in the big gun. We try with an older model next time. Ready ....FIRE!
