Nuestra afición por los vikingos de Playmobil es bien conocida para quien sigue nuestro blog. Aquí os presentamos un nuevo diorama que hemos realizado utilizando algunos elementos nuevos que hemos fabricado durante las vacaciones de Semana Santa.
La escena representa un pequeño asentamiento medieval de los hombres del norte alrededor del siglo XI, visitado por uno de los barcos que en esa época se dedicaban al comercio o al saqueo dependiendo de dónde desarrollaban su actividad.
Hemos incluido unas casas de nueva construcción utilizando poliestireno extruido. Todavía son pruebas, pero el resultado pensamos que es bastante bueno y sobre todo muy barato.
En primer lugar una vista general de la escena: El barco acercándose a la costa. El señor de la población (jarl) acercándose a dar la bienvenida a los visitantes en la playa. No hay espadas, ni cascos, se trata de una situación pacífica, posiblemente para realizar algún tipo de trueque.
Los personajes pretenden representar a todos los estamentos sociales que podían darse en este tipo de pequeños asentamientos. Desde el señor y su esposa a la esclava que recoge la leña. Estas poblaciones no eran más que pequeñas granjas, fortificadas en mayor o menor medida en función de la riqueza de sus habitantes o del número de hombres que allí residían.
Los edificios están pensados como complemento a nuestras construcciones. La verdad, es que sale carísimo tirar de DS para construir. Sobre todo este tipo de construcciones, en las que además echamos en falta disponer de algunas piezas que facilitarían un tipo de edificios más versátil. No hablemos de los medios alternativos, como la clonación en resina o la fabricación con impresoras 3D (ésta última puede tener posibilidades cuando bajen un poco los precios), simplemente no nos compensan.
Las casas se hacen en un par de tardes, una para tallar y pegar y otra para pintar. Coste total: 10 euros. Ya sé que se podrían haber hecho mejor, pero, como ya os decíamos antes estamos aprendiendo. Las siguientes serán mejores.

Our fondness for Playmobil Vikings are well known to those who follow our blog. Here we introduce to you a new diorama that were performed using some new elements that have made during the Easter holidays.
The scene depicts a small settlement of the Norsemen around the eleventh century, visited by one of the boats at that time were engaged in trade or plunder depending on where they developed their activity.
We've included a few new houses using polyfoam. Are still testing, but we think the result is pretty good and above all inexpensive.
First an overview of the scene: The boat approaching the coast. The Lord (jarl) approaching to welcome visitors at the beach. No swords or helmets, it is a peaceful situation, possibly to do some kind of barter.
The characters claim to represent all social strata that could occur in this type of small settlements. From the man and his wife, to the slave woman that is collecting firewood. These populations were nothing more than small farms fortified to a greater or lesser extent depending on the wealth of its inhabitants or the number of men living there.
The custom buildings are designed to complement our Viking or medieval buildings. The truth is that DS service is very expensive to build. Especially this type of construction, in which we miss also have some non-existing pieces that would facilitate more versatile type of buildings. Better no talk about of other alternatives, such as resin manufacturing or 3D printers (latter it can de available when prices drop a bit), simply it does not compensate us.
The houses are made in a couple of afternoons, one for cutting and pasting and another to paint. Total Cost: 10 €. I know it could have been done better, but, as I said before we are learning. The following ones will be better.
