Una nueva entrega de personajes. Hay algún experimento. Nos encantan.

MONTHLY CUSTOMIZATION

A new installment of characters. There is some experiment. We love them.

ACAMPADA VIKINGA

Mientras se hacían las casas, unos cuantos bravos se fueron a cortar un poco de leña y cazar alguna pieza que se pusiera a su alcance. El arquero a caballo es de lo mejorcito. La silla de montar le da un aspecto autentico. 

 

VIKING CAMP

While they build the houses, a few brave men went to cut some firewood and hunt a piece. The archer on horseback is second to none. The saddle gives an authentic look.

NUEVAS CASAS VIKINGAS (III)

Bueno, esta es la última de la serie. Le hemos incorporado un fuerte alrededor, tal y como aparece en los libros de historia. Todo el diseño es de mi hijo mayor. Hemos tardado más o menos una hora en montarlo. Un diorama fantástico. Se trata de un asentamiento a las puertas del fiordo para controlar el tráfico fluvial. Para esta ocasión ha salido a navegar nuestro segundo barco vikingo y su tripulación.

NEW VIKING HOUSES (III)

Well, this is the last of the series. We have built a strong round, as it appears in history books. The entire design is of my eldest son. It took about an hour ride. A fantastic diorama. This is a settlement at the gates of the fjord to control river traffic. For this occasion has left to navigate our second Viking ship and its crew.

Otra variante, bastante parecida al original, pero con cierto toque personal. Varios habitantes se han acercado para vender sus mercancías o cambiarlas por otras:

Another one, much like the original, but with a personal touch. Some people have come to sell their goods or exchange them for others:

NUEVAS CASAS VIKINGAS (I)

Este fin de semana hemos aprovechado los últimos coletazos del verano. Hemos sacado la caja de los vikingos. Con alguna pieza que nosotros hemos ido consiguiendo por aquí y por allá nos propusimos hacer aquellas cajas que nunca ha sacado Playmobil. El sistema de construcción tiene muchas posibilidades, creo que su departamento de I+D podría obtener resultados sorprendentes con un alguna pieza más que les permitiría sacar una nueva referencia de vikingos. Todo llegará. Viendo ahora las fotos me doy cuenta que habría quedado mejor con un suelo de arena. Es un pedazo de casa. Atención a nuestro nuevo druida.

NEW VIKING HOUSES (I)

We did our last summer dioramas this weekend. We choose our Vikings box. With some pieces that we have been getting here and there we set out to make a new Viking house. The construction system has many possibilities, I think Playmobil I+D department could get some amazing results with some new pieces that would allow them to take a new reference of Vikings. Sure It will come. Viewing the photos, I think that It would have been better with a sand floor. What a great house! Please, check our new druid.

PEQUEÑOS DIORAMAS

El otoño está próximo y la temporada al aire libre pronto terminará. Para el frío, acondicionamos el año pasado una estantería en el cuarto de mis hijos para que pudieran hacer pequeños dioramas.

La temporada ha comenzado con un tributo al bosque de Sherwood. Creo que ya hay algún viejo conocido del blog y también algún  nuevo miembro.

LITTLE DIORAMAS

Autumn is coming and the outdoor season will end soon. For autum, we put up last year a shelf in my children room, so they could make little dioramas.

The season began with a tribute to Sherwood Forest. I think there are some old friends of the blog and also a new members.

PERSONALIZACIONES MENSUALES (SEPTIEMBRE)

Ya tenemos nuevas figuras listas para presentar. Un derroche de imaginación de mis hijos. Los temas son, más o menos, los de siempre, pero los resultados son superiores. No cambio por nada nuestros “especiales” caseros.

MONTHLY CUSTOMS

We are ready to present our new figures. A riot of imagination of my children. The themes are more or less the usual, but the results are superior. I don´t  change our home made “special” ones for anything.

MERCADILLO DE SEPTIEMBRE

El Mercadillo no se nos dio muy mal, la verdad, es que había muchas piezas y mucha gente. Vimos los nuevos sobres de Playmobil. Creo que no serán un éxito en el mercado, ya que, no sabes que va a salirte y puede salirte algo que no quieres. Al final es mejor comprar un special. No obstante, creo que serán una nueva fuente de piezas para nuestros “exclusive sets”. Al final lo que encontramos más rentable fue la segunda mano.

Suele ser mejor que Ebay, aunque al final lo que te ahorras de gastos de envío y tiempo, lo pagas por otro lado. Un buen montón de piezas para empezar a crear.

Lo mejor de todo que incorporamos un barril nuevecito a nuestra colección. Y gracias al catálogo DS a un precio más que razonable. No pudieron esperar a sacar las fotos para empezar a montar nuevas figuras.

SEPTEMBER FLEA MARKET

The Flea Market does not treat us very badly, the truth is that there were many pieces and people. We saw the new Playmobil envelopes. I think there will be not a success in the market. You don´t know what´s going to get out and you can get away something you don´t want. I believe that it´s better to buy a special one. However, I think it will be a new source of parts for our "exclusive sets." In the flea market was more profitable to look for the second hand shops.

It is often better than Ebay, but what you save on shipping costs and time, you pay in other things. A bunch of parts to start building new figures.

Best of all, we incorporated a brand new barrel to our collection, and thanks to the DS catalog, it was more than reasonable price. They could not wait to get the pictures to begin setting up new figures.

FOTOS RETOCADAS

Nosotros tenemos claro que somos amateurs. Nuestras fotos son buenas por la tecnología que nos acompaña.  La mayor dificultad está en los fondos que utilizamos. Casi siempre utilizamos una sábana o un trapo azul. También usamos fondos lisos en otros colores.

Los resultados, en mi modesta opinión, no son malos teniendo en cuenta los medios de los que disponemos. Hace poco, hemos empezado a experimentar con algún programa sencillo para cambiar alguna de nuestras fotos. Y estos son algunos:

RETOUCHED PHOTOS

We clearly are amateurs. Our photos are good for the technology with us. The greatest difficulty lies in the funds we use. Almost always use a blanket or a blue cloth. We also use plain backgrounds in other colors.

The results, in my humble opinion, are not bad considering the means at our disposal. Recently, we have begun to experiment with a simple photography program to change some of our photos. And these are some of the results:

NORMANDOS PERSONALIZADOS

Nos encanta Vickie el Vikingo. Llevamos años disfrutando de esa serie y no nos aburre nunca. Para nosotros tiene todo lo que se puede desear.

De los capítulos preferidos de mi hijo menor son los de los normandos. No tienen ningún tipo de rigor histórico, pero son divertidísimos. Mi hijo nos contó que deseaba unos normandos de Playmobil y decidimos que no tenía que ser imposible. Así, que nos atrevimos con el experimento.

Para empezar debíamos tener un modelo fiable. Un vistazo a  nuestros amigos: Cascos con cuernos, capas rojas, cuerpos azules, pelos blancos…

Y así nacieron los normandos de Playmobil:

NORMAN CUSTOM

We love Vickie the Viking. We have been enjoying these movies and we never bored. They have everything you could want.

The Normans Chapters are the favourite ones for my youngest son. They do not have any historical accuracy, but they are great. My son told us he wanted some Palymobil Normans  and we decided that it shouldn´t be impossible. So we dared to experiment.

To start we should have a reliable model. Take a look at our friends: Helmets with horns, red coats, blue body, white hair ...

And that´s the way the Playmobil Normans were born.
